Rio de Janeiro Cachaça Tour - Drinks, Fun And Beach!

After your 11am pickup from your accommodation in central Rio de Janeiro you will drive toward Guaratiba district, the drive takes around 1 hour where during this time your guide will explain you the history of the sugar cane plantation in Brazil. Around 12:30 pm you'll arrive at the cachaca distillery.

In the begining you will visit the sugar cane plantation and learn the special technique to cut it off, then the fermentation and destilation process. Feel free to ask questions about the process. The most interesting thing is the special pot still that creates an super premium and unique spirit with really low levels of copper. Afterward, your guide will take you to the maturation room where old oak barrels already used to mature scotch whisky, gives a distinctive flavor to the cachacas.

At the end of this amazing experience, guests will be able to relax in the bar and taste different cachacas and some unique fruit liquors made with non aged cachaca. After the free tasting is time to relax by the pool or enjoy the local sea food appetizers. Around 15:30 pm it's beach time! a 15 min. drive and you will enjoy one of the most beautiful beaches in the west of Rio! Grumari and Prainha! Around 17:00 pm is time to go back to your central accommodation in Rio de Janeiro. Pickup and drop-off are included.
