Itinerary

Pickup from your hotel in central Rio is between 8am and 9am. Take a short drive to Praia Vermelha (Red Beach). After a brief lesson with your expert kayaking guide, hit the water and start paddling to the main destination, the island of Cotunduba, about 1 mile (1.8 km) from the shore. The island is part of an environmental protection area.

While out on the water, get a whole new perspective on the city — with panoramic views of Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, the Sugar Loaf and Christ the Redeemer. Get in some good exercise and be sure to keep your eyes peeled for marine life like turtles and dolphins.

After your kayaking adventure ends, you will be taken back to your hotel at around 1pm.
