Thorsmork Volcano Hike (Super Jeep & Hiking Combo)

One of Iceland's most famous destinations amongst travelers and hikers alike is Thorsmork, which is located in a beautiful valley encircled by glaciers and mountains. Thorsmork is the perfect location for a day hiking tour. Your journey begins with a direct morning pick-up in Reykjavik. From Reykjavik you will drive east towards the island, leaving the city behind. On yourr journey you will stop by a very popular tourist destination in Iceland, the Seljalandsfoss waterfall. This unique waterfall allows visitors to walk around behind it, seeing it from both sides. After exploring all that Seljalandsfoss has to offer you will continue onwards to Thorsmork. From Basar cabin located in the heart of Thorsmork you will start your hiking journey to Fimmvorduhals pass, which is a very popular hiking path amongst locals. The route offers you incredible sights and an unforgettable experience as you explore the region. During your hike you will get the chance to see Magni and Modi craters that were formed in the infamous 2010 Eyjafjallajokull eruption. The elevation gain of the hike is between 700-800 meters and length approximately 16 km in total. After a hiking day in Thorsmork you will return back to Reykjavik.
