Faisant partie du légendaire Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts dans l'Upper West Side de Manhattan, le Metropolitan Opera House est l'un des meilleurs lieux au monde pour assister à un opéra. La salle peut accueillir 3 800 personnes. Elle fut inaugurée en 1966 avec une représentation de l'opéra Antoine et Cléopâtre de Samuel Barber.

Cet opéra en 4 actes, La Bohème, fut créé à Turin en 1896 et sa popularité n'a cessé de croître depuis grâce à son histoire, évoquant de jeunes bohémiens vivant dans le Paris des années 1830. L'étonnante production de Franco Zeffirelli fait vivre cette histoire d'amour et de séparation entre les deux personnages principaux, Rodolfo et Mimì. L'opéra est chanté en italien, et le Met propose des sous-titres en anglais, allemand et espagnol sur le dossier de chaque siège, pour vous aider à suivre l'intrigue.

Your ticket will be held at the Metropolitan Opera House box office for collection on the day of the performance, no earlier than one hour before performance time.
