A propos de cette activités
This day-trip is ideal for anyone spending an extra day in Kathmandu. It will help you get away from the hustle and bustle of the city life and into the calmness and serenity of a quiet hike in the Shivapuri National Park.

Itinerary

We drive to Budhanilkantha and tour the temple area. Its major attraction is the huge statue of Bishnu, one of the primary Hindugods reclining in a bed of serpents in a pond. After the tour we walk up-hill about 3km to the NagiGompa. The Buddhist nunnery houses around 100 nuns and guarantees amazing views of the city below. From the Gompa we walk on a steep trail to reach Shivapuri Peak via Baghdwar which is believed to be the source of the holy Bagmati River. During the hike we also pass through Shivapuri Conservation Area which is a boon for any nature enthusiasts. The trek ends after a downhill hike to Sundarijal.
