A propos de cette activités
FOR THE NOVICE... Learn and perform basic flight maneuvers including how to take off, cruise, and perform three landings. On this 3-4 hour experience, you will fly up to 9,500' and cross the Big Island channel to fly in between Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa, two of the largest mountains in the northern hemisphere. Then descend to 3,500' and fly directly over the active volcanic vent! Then fly down the coast where lava is entering the sea and boiling the ocean! Afterward, you will land in Hilo, where you will take a break for lunch, and have an opportunity to switch pilots. Then after takeoff, fly alongside the entire northern coastline of the Big Island, filled with over 53 miles of waterfalls. At the end of the valley, turn north towards Hana, where you will get to land or perform a touch-and-go. On the third leg, you will fly the northern coast line of Maui to land in Kahului. You will learn how to use GPS, autopilot, and speak to air traffic control. FOR THE LICENSED PILOT... When was the last time you heard your flight instructor say "let's keep the Volcano on the left side, ok?" Or how about "can you smell the eruption?" And depending on weather, get some IFR approaches in!
