A propos de cette activités
Thin silver is a specialty of Dinh Cong, completely different from other jewelry villages because it is entirely made by hand. From the ingots, the craftsmen must skillfully pull them together into tiny silver threads and then deftly bend them in various shapes and then put the details on the frame into a finished product. Silver engraving is available in many locations throughout the country but thin silver only exists in Dinh Cong village (now belonging to Dinh Cong Ward, Hoang Mai District, Hanoi).

Making thin silver products requires a stable and meticulous hand, and each product is a technically rigorous artwork with refined and aesthetic value. Silver must be the 995 to 999 (formerly known as silver 10, when the silver is old enough) so that it can be drawn into fibers of different sizes. In the past, thin silver products are usually small items such as flowers, butterflies, shakes, torches, rings ... but now they are elaborately made into larger sizes also.

As a trip to the village focusing on a workshop, you will soak in the spirit of one of the most famous and unique jewelry craft village in Vietnam, see the patience, intelligence and creation of silversmiths, and also have chance to learn making a silver product yourself. :)
