Franschhoek | Simonsberg Sip & Cycle

1 day
A propos de cette activités
We meet at your accommodation and shuttle to Simonsberg (Afrikaans: Simon's Mountain) which is part of the Cape Fold Belt and is located between the towns of Stellenbosch, Paarl, and Franschhoek, forming a prominent 1,399 m high mountain. It is named after Simon van der Stel, first governor of the Cape, founder and namesake of Stellenbosch. We start off on the Northern lower slopes of Simonsberg, where they offer a blend steeped in traditional French culture and the latest in modern winemaking techniques.

We visit award-winning estates, such as Rupert & Rothschild, Noble Hill, Babylonstoren, Backsberg, Anura, Glen Carlou, Vrede en Lust, and Plaisir De Merle. The new and the old winemakers conspire to bring you an unforgettable kaleidoscope of tastings and amazing wines. We cycle between the estates and traverse a fairy-tale landscape with views of the Paarl Valley. The tour includes up to eight wineries, cellar tours, cycling from farm-to-farm, and a gourmet lunch – all at your own pace! If wine is your thing, then this is definitely the tour for you. At the end of a day, we shuttle you back to your accommodation.
