Private Tour: Antique Market & Traditional Beijing Taste

Your private guide and personal driver will meet you in your hotel lobby by 8am. Your first stop is the Panjiayuan Antique Market, it is supposedly the biggest antique market in the whole of China! It houses about 10 thousand sellers of various antiquities including traditional Chinese calligraphy and paintings, jewelry, pottery, old food coupons and tickets, incense sticks, gramophones, statues and statuettes of Mao, Buddha and various characters related to rich Chinese mythology, ancient style furniture and lamps, and anything else that you may need if you want to give your place a slightly more oriental touch.

Then you will be transferred to the Temple of Heaven, the complex was visited by the Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties for annual ceremonies of prayer to Heaven for good harvest. It has been regarded as a Taoist temple, although Chinese heaven worship, especially by the reigning monarch of the day, predates Taoism.

You will be taken at a local restaurant for Beijing Characteristic and Traditional Snacks tasting.

Next, you will be transferred to the Summer Palace, a vast ensemble of lakes, gardens and palaces in Beijing. Mainly dominated by Longevity Hill and Kunming Lake, it covers an expanse of 2.9 square kilometres. It was listed in UNESCO World Heritage List as "a masterpiece of Chinese landscape garden design".

From here, you'll drive back to your hotel.
